FAKE NAILS? pros/cons?

soo ima be 15 soon and im going to get pamperd im getting my hair coloured and restyled. but thats not the point im just wondering if i should get some acyrilic nails done ? i bite my nails:( and hoping itll help me grow them ;/ but what are the....

GOOD POINTS

AND THE BAD POINTSFAKE NAILS? pros/cons?
first of all if you want your nails to grow then what you should do is get them manicured and shaped then get GEL nails not acrylic and then get those manicured. i would not recommend going to the korean nail shops because they reuse their tools and supplies on everybody and germs and nail infection tend to spread more easily that way. i would go to a spa or hair salon with a nail tech on duty. it will cost more but atleast you wont have to worry as much of getting a nail infection! salon and spas are held to very strict sanitation rules and regulations from the board of cosmetlogy and i have seen alot of korean shops break alot of those regulations.

Pros

They look nice

Will help to stop biting your nails (unless you are gross enough to eat a fake nail)

your nails will grow nice and long under the fake nail

cons

they require up keep or else the will break. depending on how fast you nail grow you need to get a fill every 2 weeks or less. if it takes longer then 2 weeks then maybe you should check your diet because you may not be getting enough vitamins and minerals. a fill-in will cost less then the full-set but it still cost.

They break with lack of up keep or thin application and most of the time they hurt really bad when they do break

even though your nail will grow under the fake nail they will grow thin and brittle so when they are the length you want make sure you get back to the nail tech for a soak off to remove the fake nail and get a silk wrap or a gel overlay to reinforce your natural nail. the up keep of your natural nail is cheaper then up keep of a fake nail.FAKE NAILS? pros/cons?
acrylic nails aren't permanent, and if anything they'll stunt the healthy growth of your nails. when you get acrylic nails they use tools on your nails to make them EXTREMELY thin, so when the acrylic nails come off they will have grown out in length but they will be so soft, thin, damaged, and scratched up. acrylic nails are gorgeous while you have them, but they do grow out..and you either have to get them filled in or just take them off because it looks bad when they have grown out too far. last year I had acrylic nails for about 7 months straight, and each time I'd go to get them filled in or just completely redone, it got to the point to where my nails were so thin that they hurt really bad when I got them redone. also, I haven't had this problem but a lot of people I know and have seen have had problems with bacteria growing underneath their nails. I guess it depends on if you use your hands a lot in chemicals and stuff though, and you being so young probably aren't working in chemicals. it's just something to keep in mind though. I would say the good points of it is just that they look beautiful..why else would so many people get them? there are no benefits of acrylic nails.
acrylics nails.....dont break...are really cute.....

they grow out and look ugly...hurt your real nails...are hard to get off

if you want to have long lasting pretty nails stop biting them and get your real nails done.
i love them! but OH BOY do they hurt when they come off!(sometimes)
