I'm 27 and i've had acrilics in the past and they are fabulous if you have unhealthy nails that dont grow in very well and they look beautiful but if you dont go back to the salon for your follow up appointments they can get gross... fast. you have to make the commitment to these nail because once you get them they ruin your real nails so to keep your nails looking nice you'll have to keep getting new ones. i wouldnt recommend them but it is totaly up to you. its a hassel to take them off to clean and when your nails grow yu keep having to get them filled .
Your nails will always look nice as long as you keep them up, but it gets expensive. It helped my cuticles to be less dry, but I wasn't able to do things like putting on a necklace, scratching dry skin off or picking up coins or a credit card from a counter. And after they have been on a while, you can get dirt between the acrylic and your real nail which is gross. Also, be aware that when you decide to take them off, your real nails will be weak and split and will take months to grow out to normal again.
pros---%26gt; cute, clicking sounds, you can keep them longer htan a painted french manicure, they make you feel sexy
cons---%26gt; hard to take off yourself, grow out and need filled in every two weeks or so..... the price....some can yellow
